Lionheart Creations Learjet 24b

I posted a while back on how to fix the windows in the VC of the Lionheart Tobago TB21.

Someone mentioned on the thread on Avsim that the Learjet 24b has a similar issue. Bill Ortis once again kindly let me have a copy to look at, and yes I can confirm that it does.

So the the problem again is that the internal windows are using custom reflection texture and this isn’t quite in the format that FSX expects. (It is not a cubemap created with DrTex).
The FSX DX10 Engine is then substituting its own dark fallback texture which appears as shown.

Fortunately there is a very simple workaround which is to swap this texture for the default FSX reflection texture as follows:

In the directory <fsx dir>\SimObjects\Airplanes\Learjet_24b \texture

1)  Rename the texture GlobalEnv_AC_Plexi.dds  to something else e.g.  xGlobalEnv_AC_Plexi.dds

Now if you have previously done the following step for the Tobago then there is no need to repeat it (i.e. you are now finished!)

Otherwise in the directory <fsx_dir>\Texture

2)  Create a copy of the texture GlobalEnv_AC_Chrome.dds

3) Rename that copy to be called GlobalEnv_AC_Plexi.dds   (DO NOT rename the original!!!)

I don't use FSX that much. But I am very annoyed when it doesn't work properly!
