I am preparing the release of version 1.1 . This has the following changes/features.

Improved Shadow Accuracy
Shadows now start where they should (or at least very close). This has also allowed a reduction in z fighting that was sometimes seen.
Long Range AI Visibility
There were complaints that the Effects fix – impacted the long range visibility of AI lights. Version 1.1 has a new option to install a lights package for the standard nav lights. This implements a different change in these lights which should ensure that they are visible at longer ranges.
Light Field BGLs
Legacy airport lighting has proved problematic – turning off and on as the viewing angle changes. The previous advice was to try adding a ballast light to the aircraft, but this did not entirely resolve the problem. Version 1.1 now supports the addition of a scenery object known as a “light field” to airports. This much improves the behaviour of legacy point lighting. The release contains sample XML and also 25,000 prebuilt bgls for the standard airports.
For some reason the in game bloom option did not disable bloom for PAPI lights and Car headlights in DX10. It now does. This can help with airports like Bergen which use Alpha blend. The alpha blend factor in DX10 is 4 x greater which means that this airport became white.
